Take the reigns of your own event and raise vitally important funds to support Special Olympics Massachusetts. Whether you have relationship with a Special Olympics athlete or a family member of someone with intellectual disabilities; you love seeing determination and dedication rewarded with joy and laughter; you understand the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and want to pass that along to others; or you just want to make a difference and be part of the social rights movement for individuals with intellectual disabilities, each event provides critical funds to enhance the movement of Special Olympics Massachusetts.
What kind of support will I receive?
Special Olympics Massachusetts staff will be available to you for any questions you have or issues that arise through the planning and execution of the event.
You will receive guidance on how to properly organize the logistics of an event, how to keep a working budget, who to reach out to for participants and many more insightful tips.
What kind of events can I organize?
* Golf Tournament
* Walking/Running Event
* Basketball Tournament
* Work with your local Police Department through the Law Enforcement Torch Run program
The best events come from original ideas presented by our event organizers. This is your opportunity to organize the Open Mic night you have always thought about; you can start that motorcycle ride through the back roads of New England; or a fancy dinner for residents of your community! The possibilities are endless and we want to hear about your idea!
